Pick-by-Light
Maximize order picking productivity - Boost accuracy and productivity
Pick-by-Light (or Pick-to-Light) systems are used where high picking speed and low error rate are crucial. Easily visible lights located directly on the storage slot indicate where the next item is to be picked, and a display signals the number of items to be retrieved.

After retrieval, the order picker acknowledges the process by pressing a button, and the display switches off. All information is exchanged in real time with the master materials management or warehouse management system.


Pick-by-Light Systems
Light displays direct operators to specific stock locations
Pick-by-Light systems, sometimes called Pick-to-Light systems, use light displays to direct operators to specific stock locations. Each product location can have an individual numeric or alphanumeric display with a light, an acknowledgement button, and a digital readout for indicating quantity. Other configurations allow fewer or more simplified displays to reduce the total cost.

In a typical Pick-by-Light system, the picking sequence starts at the beginning of a zone where the operator scans a bar coded address label attached to the shipping carton or tote. The display tells the operator which products to pick and how many of each. The operator confirms picks via acknowledgement buttons.


Put-to-Light Systems
Light displays guide the operator to put stock in an order
In Put-to-Light systems, sometimes called Put-by-Light systems, light displays instruct the operator where and how to allocate stock to orders, allowing efficient picking from bulk stock. The operator scans each product and flashing light displays at each location indicate which containers require that product and how many items to put. Confirmed put results are updated to the system in real time for host system updates.

Typical businesses using a put system include retailers of general merchandise, apparel, grocery, convenience foods, sporting goods, and personal care items.

Multi Axis Platform

 
As the name indicates these platforms are manually operated and designed to operate in multiple axis, i.e. X- Axis, Y- axis, Z- Axis. X-Axis: - The horizontal movement of the entire lifts, lengthwise in a booth or along a structure. Y-Axis: - The horizontal movement of the operator platform in and out from the back of the lift. Z-Axis: - The vertical travel of the operator platform up and down on the lift mast.

WORKING OF THE MULTI- AXIS MAST PLATFORM
The lift travels on a guide rail system with a lower rail anchored to the floor and an upper rail mounted to the wall of the booth or other structure. The lift is controlled by the operator from a control console (joystick) located in the front of the platform. This allows the worker to face forward and observe the area as they move the lift. Properly maintained, platforms will provide many years of trouble free operation while increasing the safety and productivity of your workers.

MODEL SMEPL2: Extended Reach (Double Scissor) 3 Axis Lifts


Extended reach lifts are similar in design to the Three axis platforms, but are designed for booths or bays that are wider than normal, to accommodate large products or multiple products at the same time. Extended reach design allows the front of the platform to reach up to 14' out from the booth wall.

Multi-Axis Options

Standard Lift Options:
1. Contact Bumper: Shuts down all lift motion if bumper comes in contact with an obstruction to prevent damage to product.
2. Base Steps: Used where the standard platform steps interfere with access over product. Required with Contact Bumper. Not shown.
3. Lower Rail Scraper: Cleans excess over-spray off lower rail (required in side-draft booths)
4. Over-spray Filter Cover: Installed on back of lift mast to decrease over-spray being pulled across mechanical drives.
5. Paint Pot Carrier: Designed to carry one 5 gallon paint pot. Attaches to the base of the lift and includes paint gun holder and two hose holders.
6. Roller Mount Spacers: Used to space lift out from the booth wall to provide clearance for filters or equipment. Designed to application. Not shown.
7. Base Bumpers: Hard rubber bumpers mounted on base of lift. Used when two lifts will operate on the same rail. Not shown.
8. Front Gate in Platform: Used when access from the front of the platform is needed. Not shown.
9. Safety Harness Attachment Points: Used in conjunction with front gate to allow for attachment of safety harness to operator Platform. Not shown.
10. Auxiliary Flex Track: 1" x 4" flexible track to carry breathing air and paint lines from top of mast, out to the operator platform.
